Emergency assistance — and its limits
On Wellness+, TrueBuddy can connect the person to emergency services and designated family when they signal for help. It asks for confirmation first, so a stray sentence never triggers a false alarm.
Please read this plainly. The emergency feature is best-effort. It depends on electrical power, internet, working hardware, and third-party phone networks — any of which can fail. It is not a certified medical-alert system and must not be the only way a person can get help.
Keep independent emergency arrangements in place. TrueBuddy is one layer of care, not a replacement for a medical-alert device, a caregiver, or 911.
What TrueBuddy is not
TrueBuddy is a companion, not a healthcare provider. It gives no medical advice, no diagnosis, and no treatment. Medication reminders are convenience aids — they do not guarantee a dose is taken. Wellness summaries are informational, never clinical assessments.
The conversation belongs to the person.
Encrypted, end to end of our control
Voice and transcripts are encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is role-based and logged.
Summaries, not transcripts
Family and care teams see trends and flags. Raw conversations are not handed around.
You control retention
Recordings default to a 30-day window and are configurable by the account holder.
Never sold
We do not sell personal information, and the voice models are improved only with explicit opt-in.
HIPAA option
Care-team deployments are covered by our HIPAA posture and Business Associate Agreement.
For older adults
The Service is built for older adults and is not directed to anyone under 18.
